PERFORMANCE EVALUATION ON JANUARY

Times flies so fast. Parang kakatapos lang ng Pasko at Bagong Taon celebration eh eto na ang buwan ng Pebrero. As I was driving to work this morning, I came to reflect (habang umaandar --- dangerous dahil lumilipad ang isip di ba?) on what I have achieved for January.

January is a very exciting month for me. As you all know, I went back to the Philippines to present my research at the University of the Philippines. On top of that, I had the chance to share good times with my family and a few friends. Sorry sa mga hindi ko na nameet dahil super sandali lang ang pagstay ko sa Pinas.

Going back to my reflective mode, I have arrived with rating the different aspects of my life in January. From work to school life and social life, I know I deserve some evaluation.

I Will be using the University of the Philippines' grading system to mark my performance in the (as I just said) different aspects of my life.

PASASALAMAT SA MGA OFW BLOGGERS

This is an overdue post. But now that I already have the time, I would like to dedicate this entire entry to those OFW bloggers who participated in my MA Thesis research. Of course, without their patience and participation in my survey and online interviews, my research would not come in fruition.

I would also like to thank PEBA or Philippine Expat Blog Awards for all the assistance and help on my benchmark research on migrant workers and blogging.

NAGEEMOTE LANG?

I am turning 30 this year. I know. I am. I am not denying it. But deep inside, there's this voice that keeps on saying that "age is just a number." True naman. In fact, I don't feel I'm turning 30. For me, parang bumabata pa nga ako. Echos lang.

I am the kind of person who sometimes (sometimes lang naman) who over analyze things, especially when it concerns my being. And just last night, sa hindi ko maipaliwanag na kadahilanan, I suddenly felt a certain rush of sadness. Point it to homesickness or whatever, but I just felt alone and yes, a bit sad.

I am happy with what I've had over the past years. I have a very supportive family. I have lots of friends who are always there to cheer me up. Perhaps, yesterday was just one of those emotero days na kailangan kong mag-emote at para ma-feel ang pagkatao ko.

IT'S MORE FUN FUN FUN IN THE PHILIPPINES

And yeeeeees, I'm finally back in this virtual world. As you all know I went back to the Philippines to present my paper in a conference organized by UP Diliman College of Mass Communication and the National Communication Research Council. The two-day conference was held at UP College of Mass Communication.

Despite my nakakatense and busy schedule in preparation for the conference, I had some time to bond with my family and a few friends. Indeed, it was (will always be) a memorable and fun time to experience the Philippines.

To know more about my adventures, read on.

WHAT TO ACHIEVE IN 2012

Normally, I lay my New Year's Resolution before 12 midnights strikes. But since I was just sooooo busy last December, I didn't get a chance to sit down and reflect. It's only now that I have the time to ponder on what I want to achieve this 2012.

WELCOMING 2012!

Despite living alone here in Brunei, I had my share of an exciting way in welcoming 2012. Since most of my friends slash foster family were still in the Philippines for their vacation, I just celebrated the New Year's Eve at the Empire Hotel and Country Club. I performed at Brunei's seven star hotel.
