DAY 25: 30-DAY FITNESS CHALLENGE

Totoo nga, no pain, no gain. That's what I realized with my 30-day fitness challenge. Di ko lubos maisip na I'm on my (as of writing) 26th Day. Four days to go and I'm done with this challenge.

I won't say goodbye to my challenge. Actually, may season 2 na. Dahil nga nasanay na ang katawan ko sa tamang kain ng masusustansyang pagkain at ang pageehersisyo, tuloy tuloy na ito.

Yesterday was mejo talagang nanakam ako sa matamis. Parang gusto kong kumain ng isang bar ng chocolate. As in yung kain galore talaga. Positively, I was able to control my craving because of diverting my mind to something rewarding.

DAY 24: 30-DAY FITNESS CHALLENGE

It's just unbelievable. Kahapon ay ang aking 24th day with my 30-Day Fitness Challenge. And guess what, I can really see the big changes in my body. Nag-slim down na nga talaga ako. My problem is to trim and "handle" my tagiliran.  But I'm not losing hope. Through some side crunches, mawawala din ito.

Nothing exciting happened yesterday as I went through my fitness challenge except for I went out for lunch with my friends, Siempre, no white rice pa rin.

Meanwhile, as I was exercising yesterday, napansin ko na mejo lumiit na ang arms ko. With this, I am thinking of getting some dumbbells to tone and add muscles sa braso ko.

DAY 23: 30-DAY FITNESS CHALLENGE

My 23rd day is not workout-intensive compared sa mga nakaraang araw. Naisip ko na kanailangan ko rin magpahinga after ng ilang araw ng walang tigil na ehersisyo at diet.  But of course, di naman nawawala sa isipan ang pagkain ng tama.

What's more interesting on my 23rd day ay ang aking pagluwas, pagluwas talaga, to watch a movie. Yes, together with my officemates, we watched the trending movie of this month, "Hunger Games." Actually, I was also intrigued with the positive reviews from critics and praises from moviegoers. So pahinga in my mind,  I went out for some movie night out.

Meanwhile, I realized, yes, laging may realization, na talagang pumayat na ako. Mas kaloka pa, hindi na ako sanay kumain ng heavy meal. Yet yesterday, there was an exception. Since I was craving for that food treat, I indulged nang bonggang bongga.

DAY 22: 30-DAY FITNESS CHALLENGE

8 days to go and I'm already done with my fitness challenge. So what's next? Of course, I will continue my diet and pagpapapayat routines. In fact, naiisip ko na ang Season 2, naks parang reality TV show, ng fitness challenge na ito.  And I'll call it Road to 65! Meaning, kailangan ko ma-achieve ang 65 kilos na ideal weight ko for more bonggang healthyness.

It was Tuesday yesterday and I was on my 22nd day. Wala namang bonggang naganap like kung nahimatay ako sa gutom or bigla na lang akong nag-collapse sa kakapilit na mabilisang pumayat. However, datapwat, gayunpaman, furthermore (ala-Miriam ang pagbasa), mejo nafeel ko na super pagoda ang katawan ko with my routines. As I see it, as I see it talaga? perhaps, I had too much carbs (yes, OA lang) and my legs were napagod (very Kris Aquino ang banat) with all the consecutive days of non-stop exercising.

Guess what, something happened na talagang bumago ng buhay ko.

DAY 21: 30-DAY FITNESS CHALLENGE

Yesterday was the 21st day of my 30-day Fitness Challenge. And in the past 21 days, I felt that my body has finally adjusted with the routines and diet that I've been religiously following. With this, hindi na ako madaling magutom and kering-keri ko na ang mga pagpapawis moves ko.

As I was reflecting yesterday, I realized na malaki na nga rin ang nawala especially in my tummy area. Lumiit na ang dapat lumiit. An evidence is ang pagluwag ng aking pantalon at mga damit. Dahil dito, super ligaya lang talaga ako. This only means that dedication and focus are the key on achieving weight loss. Hindi kailangan magmadali at dapat may consistency.

I call my 21st Day as a Fish-tival day. As you all know, I love eating fish. Pero dahil di madalas nakakabili sa palengke, once I get a chance, I buy a lot. So yesterday, I had my isda fix.

DAY 19-20: 30-DAY FITNESS CHALLENGE

Parang kahapon lang ay I started my Fitness Challenge. Now, I’ve completed 20 days. Meaning to say, 10 days na lang and I’m already done with my challenge.

It’s challengeing whenever matatapat ang fitness challenge ko on a weekend. Apart from kainan invites from friends, I’m really tempted to eat more. Gaya ng weekend na ito, talagang bonggang napakain ako.

However there’s no guilt feeling. Basta magexercise at bumawi sa tamang kain, winner na rin.

It is very interesting that on this weekend, I was invited to host the graduation of the Filipino Language Program of the Philippine Embassy in Brunei.

DAY 18: 30-DAY FITNESS CHALLENGE

I rewarded myself on my 18th day. That's the katotohanan para naman mapasiya ko ang aking sarili ko sa kabila ng nakaka-drain at uber challenging na 30-day Fitness Challenge na ito.

As you all know, sobrang happy lang, that yesterday was my 18th Day with my 30-Day Fitness Challenge. Meaning to say, twelve days to go and I'm done with this challenge. But as I mentioned in my previous entries, there will be a Season 2 and it's gonna be called Road to 65! Yes, the ideal weight for my height is 65 Kilos. At the moment, I'm at 72 kilos na out of the initial 76 Kilos. Sino ang hindi maloloka sa bigat ko.

 As I always say, I'm doing this fitness challenge not only to get a bonggang body but at the top most is to be healthy. Dahil nga lapitin ang pamilya ng Highblood, diabetes and gout, it is best to go for prevention rather than cure.

DAY 17: 30-DAY FITNESS CHALLENGE

Hindi na nga talaga mapigilan ang pamamayagpag ng aking 30-day Fitness Challenge. Yahoo, I'm now on my 17th day. And that was yesterday. As of writing, aba, I'm on my 18th day na. Believe it or not, I've already lost 4 kilos!

Since kahapon I'm on my 17th day, I was just so motivated to complete my 30-Day Fitness Challenge. Sobrang motibasyon at inspirasyon dahil muli ko ng nasuot ang masikip kong polo. Imagine, after 17 days, I looooose some kilos already!

DAY 16: 30-DAY FITNESS CHALLENGE

I'm now on the second half of my 30-day fitness challenge. Yesterday was my 16th day. I seriously couldn't be more happy upon realizing that. Parang kailan lang ay I stepped on day 1. But now, I'm really almost there.

Yesterday was just an ordinary day yet I was packed with temptations. As I didn't bring a home-cooked meal for lunch and I opted to eat in a nearby restaurant, choosing a healthy food was just challenging. And yes, I had to say no to eating white rice.

Positively, despite the temptation to eat white rice and have a dessert after, I enjoyed a healthy yet light meal.

DAY 15: 30-DAY FITNESS CHALLENGE

Bongga! Nangangalahati na ako sa aking 30-day Fitness Challenge. Can you believe it? With 15 days of straight workout and diet, talaga namang feeling happy ako at nabawasan na rin ang aking timbang. At mas bongga pa, nabawasan na ang laki ng tiyan. Yan dapat ang sinukat ko bago ako magstart sa fitness challenge na ito.

Yesterday, kakaiba ang araw ko. I was having a migraine in the afternoon that I almost ignored working out. But thanks to tamang pahinga, after 30 minutes of power nap in my room, nakabangon agad ako to work out.

Meanwhile, I also some kakaibang meryenda. It's not mani or the typical lunurin-sa-tubig style of coping with gutom-gutoman, but I had something special to feel the summer heat na ngayon ay bumobonggang sun dance sa Pilipinas.

DAY 14: 30-DAY FITNESS CHALLENGE

Hindi ako makapaniwala. Hindi ako makapaniwala. Parang yan ang bet kong linya to sing for my bonggang sipag at dedikasyon sa aking 30-day fitness challenge. I mean, isn't it amazing to commit yourself into something and you can really see the changes in your body, isama mo na rin ang mind and soul.

So yesterday was my 14th day of my 30-day fitness challenge. As of writing, I'm now on my 15th. Meaning, 15 days to go and I'm gonna complete my challenge.

Yesterday was just a same same day. However, at night, I got so busy with what I was reading that I forgot to eat. At 10, I immediately boiled some bananas and ate. Kung hindi pa kumulo tiyan ko, di ako mapapakain.

DAY 12-13: 30-DAY FITNESS CHALLENGE

It’s the weekend and it was challenging for me to cope up with my fitness challenge. Positively, I was able to enjoy the weekends without the guilt of enjoying yummylicious food in a nearby restaurant at siempre sa bahay with my home-cooked meal.

On my 12th and 13th day, I had some sweet treat to myself.  Well, apart from the katotohanan na it’s a craving, the sweet treat was also a reward for my focus and dedication in this fitness challenge. So may siraan ng diet na naganap? Kalurkey!

Meanwhile, I can feel that my body is still adjusting with my food diet. Take note, I don’t starve myself. Bawas kain lang talaga at bonggang disiplina. On the side, may paminsan-minsang brown rice.

DAY 11: 30-DAY FITNESS CHALLENGE

Eleven days na ang nakalipas and I'm still alive and bonggang bonggang motivated with my fitness challenge. Paano ko nga ba nasusurvive ang healthy healthyhan na challenge na ito? Oh well, isa lang naman ang rason mga dear readers,  I really (as in gustong gusto) want to become fit and healthy.

So to make things more exciting, on my 11th day, I had a vegetarian meal for lunch and I took a picture of my body to show to you na nabawasan na ang aking tiyan. For your information, walang photoshop ang involved dito. 

Meanwhile, I also took a picture of the weighing scale with me on it. Siempre, para maipakita naman sa inyo ang aking mga dapat pang i-lose.

DAY 10: 30-DAY FITNESS CHALLENGE

Magpapayat ay di biro, maghapong naka-diyeta. Di naman makalafes ng bongga. Di naman makafood trip without a konsensya (Kantahin sa tono ng "Matanim ay Di Biro"). Seriously, looooooosing katabaan is not easy. Thank God na lang talaga, I'm very motivated to burn my excess sa katawan not because I want to have a sexy body (aminin!!!) but of course, I want to be healthy.  Dahil nga nasa lahi ng aming pamilya ang Highblood and Diabetes, it's better to exercise or live a healthy lifestyle.

Yesterday was the (drum roll) 10th day of my 30-day Challenge. Nakakatuwa isipin na I'm really consistent with what I eat and I do loooooots of exercise. On top of that, I can now resist sweeeeeeet eklavus such as my favorite pearl milk tea, cakes and a lot more.

DAY 9: 30-DAY FITNESS CHALLENGE

I'm very happy that I'm seeing some positive results in my body since I started this 30-day Fitness Challenge. With this, I'm even more motivated to loose weight and continue eating healthy. And as of writing, I'm thinking of making a SECOND SEASON.  O di ba, parang reality TV lang.

Yesterday was my 9th day of my 30-day fitness challenge. As usual, I exercised and eat properly. But here's the catch, I didn't have one slice of Rye bread at night. Instead, okay, you better read the rest of my entry.

I really can't wait to post my before and after picture. Well, I'm not hoping that there will be HUGE difference. But with what I'm seeing with my body every time I look in the mirror, I can say that pak na pak  na ang pagbabago.

DAY 8: 30-DAY FITNESS CHALLENGE

It's been a week since I started my 30-day Fitness Challenge. In fact, this entry will chronicle my 8th day. Can you believe it? 8th day?

Moving forward, I can say that I'm happy with the results that I'm getting on this self-imposed fitness challenge. What's more motivating, while I can see that some results and I feel light, it has now become automatic for me to wake up early in the morning and sweat out. And in the afternoon, once I reached the house, I rest for a few minutes and do more exercise.


The 8th day of my 30-day fitness challenge is amazing. It was yesterday, oh, the other day, Monday, when I started to jog in place for 30-minutes.

DAY 7: 30-DAY FITNESS CHALLENGE

It's the 7th day of my 30-day Fitness Challenge! What an achievement.

So on my seventh day, as usual I didn't have rice. However, in celebration of all the blessings that I received for the past days, I went out with my officemate and we had (still no-rice) a special meal. Also, I had (a violation) a sweet treat.

But despite the "festive meal," I had some intensive workout in the morning and in the afternoon. So I suppose, that katabaan in my body was natunaw na?

DAY 5-6: 30-DAY FITNESS CHALLENGE

I can't believe it, I finished (although not with an impressive performance) the 5th and 6th day of my 30-day Fitness Challenge.

The 5th and 6th day of my 30-Day Fitness challenge fell on a Saturday and Sunday. And since it's on weekend, I was challenged to exercise more and yes, eat healthy despite the call of the yummylicious food treats. Okay fine, I gave in at some point.

My fitness challenge on a weekend had a mix of bonggang exercise and bonggang food fest. Positively, the food fest was "rice-free" on a Saturday but not on a Sunday night. While I consistently exercised on both mornings of Saturday and Sunday, the mini hiking at Tasek Lama put me to the test.

DAY 4: 30-DAY FITNESS CHALLENGE

I brand the fourth day of my 30-day fitness challenge as FRIDAY FITNESS MADNESS! Since I felt guilty last Thursday night because of having Jollibee's pita bread, fries and drinks, I decided to exrcise the next day!

Meanwhile, I had a half cup of brown rice during lunch time which helped me to get the boost I need for the whole day packed with work. I also had some protein-rich and light snacks in the afternoon.

The first day was tough. The second day was a bit stable. But on my third day,  I felt light and guilty. Okay, you may now react.

Since I had a rehearsal at night for an upcoming performance in an event in Brunei, okay, uhm, let me just start with what really happened before the guilt feeling "devours" me!

Woohoo! It's the second day of my 30-day fitness challenge. And believe it or not, I woke up with a "harassed" feeling. I think, yes I think, perhaps my body is still adjusting to the food intake that I had for the first day and paired with some exercising.

DAY 1: 30-DAY FITNESS CHALLENGE

ONE FINE EVENING

Last Friday night, Ma'am Betsy and Ton visited Ina and David's humble abode in Kampong Katok. Actually, David and Ina invited us a week ago when we saw them walked in and ate in the restaurant where we're enjoying our dinner. So with our "unstoppable" kadaldalan  despite the distance of our dining tables and we felt that there's just too many things to talk about, the Friday night out was set.

Apart from enjoying the appetising meal which was prepared by the lovely couple, we also enjoyed the chikahan on random topics. Moreover, the "ala-MTV crib" tour in their house was just amazing! As I commented, it's as if we're not in Brunei at the very moment of our walk through.

#BRUNEI DARUSSALAM: WHAT NOT TO MISS?

I've been staying in Brunei for more than three years now and most of my friends ask me, especially those who want to visit my "kingdom" (char!), on what to explore or simply do in the Abode of Peace, Brunei Darussalam.

Of course, I recommend a few but not all things. Normally, I suggest some places which I visited or things that I enjoyed experiencing. Meanwhile, food eating, city stroll and a visit at Kampong Ayer, the Mosque and the Museums are always on my must-do list.

Surprisingly, Royal Brunei Holidays recently released a video which basically summarizes the hot spots which tourists would love to discover in Brunei Darussalam. I was amazed with the presentation that I was moved to schedule a visit at some places which I haven't explored. Let me check my budget! #hahaha
